Winter Solstice “Dongzhi Festival” December 21, 2016
Every Dec 21, Winter Solstice, I try to make annual event out of my visit to Sungei Buloh Wetlands.
Today I just did that, enjoying the beautiful weather, clear sky, crisp air and transparent waters and some wetland fauna as well.
Did a water colour painting of the main pond. Sadly what used to be a natural skyline formed by the mangrove trees, it is now broken up by a huge housing/resort development across the causeway. Hope that little is affected environmentally.

Sungei Buloh Wetlands 23 Anniversary December 7, 2016
SBWR will be celebrating its 23rd Anniversary on 10 Dec 2016 and I will will be there.
For me its also a time to take stock of my engagement with this reserve and review what
more can I do as an artist and volunteer in this environment.
My 14 year old self driven outdoor paintalong sessions is still going on monthly, and recently assuming the chair of Friends of Sungei Buloh family.
Looking forward to the new year with renewed energy and focus.
