13th anniversary as a Volunteer at Sungei Buloh Wetalnds February 22, 2015
On 22 Feb 2002, my very first sighting of a family of otters at Hide 2A took me by complete surprise. I was painting there and these cute animals just appeared in the pond in front of me. This was such a wonderful and awesome encounter.
It prompted me to sign on as a volunteer to do something to benefit the environment on that day.
Now, 13 years later the attraction of this wetlands still hold strong.
I celebrated this special 13th anniversary day with 2 watercolour sketches at the new Kingfisher Pod, and then shared some experience of this wetlands with a short tour for a group of visitors.
My wish is There will be more of me sharing and teaching nature art for more years ahead.
A Bit of Nostalgia February 13, 2015
A friend(Marcus) stumbled upon this page of the Annual Re[port of National Parks, 2006/7.
It was a shot made just before my retirement. Eight years of wonderful engagement with the wetlands reserve since, and I have not let up on my passion in art and in Nparks.
