Art in Wetlands

Sharing nature through art

Sungei Buloh Wetlands January 16, 2014

Sungei Buloh Wetlands

My first plein air painting of the year, done with an old set of Holbein cake colours ( 25 years vintage), and the black ink painting with a modern brush pen. Looking back 12years, this familiar scene had been a constant source of inspiration for my artworks, and still counting. More to come. Tham Pui San , 16 Jan 2014.

Thank you for sharing. We look forward to seeing what you paint. I do wetland photography in Florida.

  2. Dear Tham Pui San

I’ve been in touch with Kate Gorringe-Smith and hear that you are involved with the flyway print exchange – I’m looking forward to the exhibition later this year. I am presently working on this complementary art initiative http://www.flightpathproject.wordpress.com

I will be working in Singapore for a few days soon and plan to visit Sungai Buloh for the (late season) migratory birds Fri Feb 27 and/or Sat Feb 28. It would be good to meet with you if you will be there then.

    Best wishes from Virginia

    • Hi Virginia, Would be glad to meet up with you when you are  at Sungei Buloh Wetlands. I can be there on 27 Feb.(Thursday) any time. As for 28 Feb( Friday), I have a prior appointment which could be changed if your timing suits. Please confirm the time you plan to be at Sungei Buloh on both days.

Looking forward to meet a fellow nature lover.
